Let's Get Cooking

The UK still faces a crisis in child health, with the World Obesity Forum recently estimating that 3.28 million schoolchildren will be overweight or obese by 2025 unless we act now. Cooking and nutrition skills lie at the very heart of tackling obesity, and so the aims and priorities of Let’s Get Cooking & The British Dieticians Association  remain as relevant as ever.

We recognised that agreeing to take on Let’s Get Cooking is a big commitment, but we are enormously excited about the opportunity this gives us to have a really positive impact on children’s health

In March 2021 we advertised for families to take part in a special cooking project from the British Dieticians Association.

All families are provided with the food, recipes & videos to cook the items on a weekly basis  – for FREE!

All we asked is that families send photos in of you as a family cooking the recipes!

Below you will find links to recipes that have already been covered so you can try them at home. There are also some images of our MWCP Cook team!

Week 1 - Scones

Week 2 - Carrot & coriander soup

Week 3 - Cheesy Pasta

Week 4 - Eatwell Pizza
